Tri-State First Responder Peer Support Team
The Tri-State First Responder Peer Support Team provides peer support and critical incident response services to first responders. Trained peer supporters are available to respond following a traumatic or critical incident, assist individuals in crisis, or meet upon request for one-on-one support.
The Tri-State Peer Support Team is a multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary network of trained peers from various service lines including fire, EMS, law enforcement, dispatch, corrections and Air Care. The team maintains strong partnerships with clinicians, as well as in-patient and out-patient treatment centers, to ensure providers understand and respect the unique culture of first responders. A list of vetted clinical resources can be found on the Tri-State Peer Support Team’s website.
The team believes peer support is the foundation of first responder wellness and is able to assist departments in developing, building, and sustaining their own peer support programs. We offer foundational peer support trainings, traumatic event response training, and supervisor training for building and sustaining peer support programs. We also offer one hour trainings taught by peers as part of our annual Red Alert Awareness Trainings.
